Giving Back, In Practice
Giving back is not something that sits apart from the work. It is part of how Josephine approaches business, community and opportunity — using time, skills, resources and relationships to support people where possible, while continuing to grow the impact for the future.
SPORT · YOUTH · COMMUNITY
Giving Back Through Sport
Sport has always been part of Josephine’s life and one of the ways she connects with people around the world.
Beyond competition, sport can create confidence, discipline, friendship, belonging and opportunity — particularly for young people.
As the community work grows, Josephine wants sport to remain part of that giving-back story, whether through youth initiatives, equipment, participation, partnerships or simply helping more children have access to experiences that bring people together.
CHILDREN · EDUCATION · COMMUNITY
Back-to-School Backpack Program
Sometimes impact begins with something simple.
Through the Back-to-School Backpack Program, children and families receive backpacks and essential school supplies to help make the start of a new school year a little easier.
The aim is practical: help children arrive prepared, confident and ready to learn.

COMMUNITY SUPPORT
Meeting Needs Where They Are
Giving back also means responding to immediate needs.
That has included food donations and practical support for families and organizations — helping where possible while continuing to work toward longer-term solutions.
JS GROUP · COMMUNITY
Building Where It Matters
Through JS Group, giving back can also mean contributing the skills and labour that would otherwise be difficult for a family or nonprofit organization to afford.
Over the years, thousands of hours have been contributed toward construction, repairs, maintenance and project support for low-income families and nonprofit organizations.
The principle is straightforward: construction knowledge has value, and sometimes the most useful contribution is putting that knowledge to work for someone who needs it.
BETN · ACCESS · OPPORTUNITY
Building Opportunity
Through BETN, community impact is also about access.
The work focuses on helping create stronger connections between people, employers, mentors, training and real opportunities in construction and the skilled trades.
Giving back is not only about meeting today’s need. It is also about helping create pathways that can change what becomes possible tomorrow.
FLOKË CO. · HAIR · DIGNITY
Giving Through Business
FLOKË CO. is being built with giving incorporated into its future.
As the company grows, the plan is for 5% of net profits to support people experiencing medically related hair loss, including those affected by cancer and other diagnoses.
Hair can be deeply connected to identity, confidence and wellbeing. The goal is to help make quality hair solutions more accessible during circumstances when that support can matter most.

BEYOND BORDERS
Growing the Impact Globally
Travel has given Josephine the opportunity to experience communities, cultures and ways of life across the world.
As her businesses, relationships and work continue to expand internationally, so does the ambition to give back beyond one city or one country.
That does not mean waiting until the work becomes enormous. Sometimes impact is one child. One family. One organization. One school. One community.
Whether the contribution is small today or grows into something much larger tomorrow, the intention remains the same — leave something meaningful behind.
